a/my body
a/my body is a collage of own lyrical texts, drawings and patterns, which I contrast with specialist texts and other small found objects. This creates a kind of dialogue between social assumptions about the body and gender and my personal view of them.
This dialogue is very personal and yet leaves many hints and unanswered questions. This vague character is underlined by the materiality of the book: a block stitching of various more or less transparent papers. Some texts are barely visible, some passages are exposed through tears or cuts.
To really decipher this small object might take hours. After all, it is not so much a book to read as one to grasp and understand. Even without reading, it conveys an image of ambiguity and complexity. It holds hidden spaces in its pages and yet provides a deep insight.
